Otter River State Forest can be found roughly six miles west of Gardner, MA. This park is known as a popular camping and day use area. The forest is full of a wide variety of trees and animals, allowing visitors to experience the Massachusetts wilderness first hand.
Dunn State Park is found just a short drive from the Visitor's Center at Gardner Heritage State Park. The pond itself is made up of 20 acres, about one-sixth of the park's total size. Canoes and other non-motorized watercraft are welcome here, and paddle boats can be rented during the summer months.
